Rocco Gangle comes to non-philosophy through research in Spinoza, Peirce, Deleuze and Levinas as well as interest in comparative theology and philosophical-religious collaboration. He has a PhD in Philosophical and Theological Studies from the University of Virginia and has taught philosophy, modern religious thought and interdisciplinary studies at Oberlin College and the University of California, Merced. He is currently Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Endicott College. A co-founder of the philosophical group Synousia, he has published articles on political theology, philosophy of science and cultural theory. He is especially interested in developing methods of initiation into the practice of thinking according to unilateral duality which begin from philosophical, mathematical and religious analogues (Spinozist immanence, Peircean semiotics, category theory, Wittgensteinian language therapy, Islamic and Christian mysticism).
